Multi-part workshop series to redefine the commons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When people talk about the \u201cdevelopment of rural regions\u201d, they usually mean economic development, the establishment of industry and the creation of jobs. This understanding of \u201cdevelopment\u201d \u2013 just like the associated models of work, mobility and services of general interest \u2013 is geared towards growth and prosperity. It does not do justice to the challenges of our time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus is now increasingly shifting towards rural culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its mission: to strengthen cohesion and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what does \u201ccommunity\u201d actually mean? What does it mean to live, work and create together in rural areas? And how can new and sustainable forms of community be developed, tested and implemented with the help of art and culture? And don\u2019t we first and foremost need exercises in empathy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
